NaNoWriMo 2022! I'm in! (Let's try again next year)

Well gang, it turned out a much busier November than planned. My final word count was 23,005, not bad, but not my target. I'll still be writing, so watch for "Luck be damned" in the new year!!

My NaNoWriMo 2022 Journey...

The goal is to write 50,000 words in a month. That is 12,500 words a week; 1, 667 words a day; 70 words a minute; well, you get the picture. It's a lot of words. Must be a lot of prize money, eh? Um, no. No prize money. Just a whole load of self-satisfaction, and a chance to work with other like-minded wordsmiths.  Oh, and a certificate of completion and a badge for my website!

NaNoWriMo participants start anywhere from a couple of weeks to a year ahead, deciding what genre they will attempt, defining characters, and crafting the framework. While some participants do work on existing projects - and that is okay - the original idea was to come up with a brand-new project for the month.

So, my project is one I have muddled over for the past few years. Defining and redefining. Until now, I haven't put pen to paper, so to speak.  I now have 500 words started toward my goal! 1% of 50K.  Yeesh!  I won't tell you what it is all about yet, but I will give you the title.

My book is called "Luck, be damned!"

Let me know what you think of the title. I'll update my progress,

if I'm still awake and able to type, on a regular basis.
